On the other hand, if you are purchasing costume jewelry garnet rings or costume ruby rings, then style and fashion would be the preference.
Other than those factors, the inspection of a garnet or ruby stone can be done in much the same manner as you would inspect a diamond. In the end, your purchase of garnet rings or ruby rings will ultimately hinge on your overall impression of the aesthetic appeal of the ring in question.
